Moda Center at the Rose Quarter One Center Court, Portland, OR, 97221

The construction of Moda Center was funded by different sources mainly from the City of Portland, as well as funds raised by mutual funds and insurance companies in addition to Paul Allen's personal fortune. In 2007, Paul Allen acquired the arena from creditors after the bonds went bankrupt and Oregon Arena Corporation owned the arena. The venue is situated in the Rose Quarter, famous as an entertainment district. And it’s there where Memorial Coliseum is also located.

When just opened, the arena was called "Rose Garden", but it was also referred to as "Rose Garden Arena." In August 2013, a 10 year deal had been reached between Trail Blazers and the health insurance provider Moda Health for naming rights, and thus the arena named Moda Center. The main tenant of the arena is the NBA team Portland Trail Blazers. The WHL team Portland Winterhawks is also based in the arena. Besides, the NLL team Portland Lumberjax used to play its game there before it was folded up.

The arena held a lot of major events including for example the Finals series of the NBA Western Conference in 1999 in which the Blazers lost to San Antonio Spurs and in 2000 in which they lost to Los Angeles Lakers. In addition to sports events, the arena hosts a lot of non-sports events including performing arts like the Roger Waters concert that was held at the arena in June 2000.
